Joe was selected as this year’s Best Keyboardist….his 3rd in 4 years (he also won for 2009 & 2011).  The band followed it up by taking home the Best Live Band Award, an award presented by last year’s winner, Kevin Tarzanin of Bullbuckers.

Jeff Dement was honored with this year’s Best Drummer award.  And the final award was the coveted Artist Of The Year Award, which was awarded to Joe. (This year’s award was a tie, and Joe shared the honors with Philadelphia’s Cliff Hillis).

The band had a great time and was really honored to be a part of such an amazing night.

Developed by Joe Trainor as a best-of, live sampler in 2011, he teamed up with Gable Music Ventures and Planet Ten Multimedia and together they created a pop-up festival with 10 bands that brought a great night of music to the Wilmington Riverfront.  But this year it’s going to be bigger.

20+ bands take over the whole facility at World Cafe Live, utilizing 3 different stages for an original music Festival like Wilmington has never seen.  In addition to The Joe Trainor Trio, the festival includes: The Bullbuckers, New Sweden, Lovebettie, John & Brittany, June DIvided, The Keefs, Me & This Army, A New Dakota, The Way Home, Echo Mission, Sylvan Wolfe, Robot House, B. Lev (Figure 45), Rivers Monroe, Glim Dropper, Tilting Windmills, Tail, Travel Songs, RKVC, Hot Breakfast! and The Whiskeyhickon Boys.
